W. Temple Webber Cancer Center at CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System is a complete, comprehensive cancer center staffed and equipped to treat virtually any form of cancer. Whether treatment is needed for breast, prostate, lymphoma, colon, head, neck or lung cancers, all services are conveniently located with the center, located on the campus of CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System.

Quality care close to home Comprehensive care offering a range of state-of-the art services and equipment A multi-specialty, team approach to coordinate the best treatment options available to cancer patients Information about cancer clinical trials, education, and support Lifelong patient follow-up through a cancer registry that collects data on type and stage of cancers and treatment results. Cancer Registry services are provided by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Area Health Education Center-Southwest.
Services provided on an inpatient and outpatient basis include both radiation oncology and medical oncology. Our Radiation Therapy services include Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy, prostate seed implants, gynecologic implants, high-dose brachytherapy, and stereotactic radiotherapy. Our latest arsenal includes the latest in 16-slice computerized tomography to assure the highest degree of accuracy in planning treatments. Our Outpatient Infusion Center provides chemotherapy services as well as administration of other IV medications and injections, blood transfusions and therapeutic phlebotomies. A Clinical Oncology Patient Navigator assures the best possible education for the patient and family members and an Oncology Certified Social Worker is available to assure access to needed resources is available.
Howard Morris, M.D., who is board certified in Radiation Oncology and Emergency Medicine, leads the Radiation Therapy department and Jayendra D. Patel, M.D, who is board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine leads the Chemotherapy Department. A strong support staff of oncology certified nurses and registered radiation therapists, a medical dosimetrist and a medical physicist assure your care meets the highest level of quality and expectations. Other oncologists in the community are strong supporters of the services we provide.
Partnerships with other organizations providing cancer care services to the community are important to us as well. We partner with the American Cancer Society to provide our Cancer Resource Center and cancer support groups, and with Susan G. Komen and Texas Breast and Cervical Cancer Services to provide screening and diagnostic services for women who otherwise would not have the means to obtain these vital services.
